Dreaming of becoming an actor? You're probably wondering what's the fastest route to get there. The fastest road to Hollywood is through Movie Extra City.

If you are dreaming of becoming an actor or actress in the Hollywood movie business, you're probably wondering what's the quickest, most direct route to a successful acting career. Unfortunalty, there is no "one size fits all" type of path that works for each and every single actor. But if you look back at the carreers of many of today's most successfuly and recognizable celebrities and movie stars, it turns out that they each traveled down a very similar road. One that took them through a magical, stepping stone wonderland, called Movie Extra City.

Okay, there isn't really a place named Movie Extra City. What I mean is, if you want a fast track route to becoming an actor, your first step should be to get a job and get on set as a movie extra. Tons of movie extras are needed for films and TV shows and with a little knowledge, you can easily find yourself in the background of one of your favorite television shows or rubbing shoulders with celebrities on feature film shoots.

New York City and Los Angeles are the two big cities were many movies are made. But Hollywood is branching out and movies and television shows are being shot in San Francisco, Toronto, Chicago, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Austin, Seattle, Atlanta, Charlotte, and cities all across our great nation. If you live in or near any of these big cities, then you can easily get movie extras work.

You don't live in any of these cities? Well don't let the worry frown spoil your pretty face. Movies are shot on location in various cities and towns across the globe. Even if you live in a small town, you can register yourself with an online movie extras casting service. Then you'll be notified when film crews start shooting in a city or town near you.

Just search the internet for film extras casting services and you will find numerous web sites pop up. Be careful though, most of the online casting sites are dubious, so make sure you are able to separate the wheat from the chaff. Luckily, one web site stands above the rest in reputation and reliability. Actingland.com has become the online casting choice of Hollywood. Actingland.com is the recognized leader in the industry. So register yourself to find work as movie extras, right now!

A good start to your career as movie extra would be with small projects and then moving on to bigger and more high profile projects as you gain experience. As a movie extra your experience in the field is not a pre-requisite. Your 'look' is more important than any previous acting experience. If you are ordinary looking, you'll find that it works best! This is simply because movie extras don't need to be beautiful or slim like movie actors. Just be comfortable with your appearance.

Movie extra work demands that you have abundance of patience. Movie extras are made to do different things on a repeat basis until the movie director is convinced. Besides being patient, you will do well to inculcate the ability to follow directions, correctly! Movie shooting schedules are long and grueling, to say the least. You may be required to film for a scene for 8-12 hours at a stretch. On the other hand, depending on the nature of your extra work you may be required on the movie set for just a few minutes.

For more information about becoming a movie extra, visit Actingland.com. Actingland.com is the world's leading online extras casting service. Actingland.com provides guides, advice, and instructions to get you started and casting notices, casting calls and auditions to keep you working.

For extras pay is relative. You get paid according to the nature of the role. But if you love movies and all the glamour associated with them, or just want a fast track route to becoming an actor or actress in Hollywood, then being a movie extra is your type of work. Many extras have gone on to become successful movie actors. So keep your eyes and ears open for the casting calls!

Hello madam or sir so today I want to be an actor because I love to tell stories and connect with people. I think that acting is a powerful way to express yourself and tell stories that can impact and inspire people. I would love to be able to bring characters to life and help people feel a range of emotions through my work. I also think that being an actor would be a fun and exciting career, and I would love to be a part of the entertainment industry.

Acting has been a dream from a long time ago, I couldn't pursue it because I was told that acting is not a career is a hobby that brings nothing but trouble along your life But now that am an adult and learnt a lot in life I can proudly say that acting is good because it builds, encourage, motivate and teaches a lot to people. I would really love to be part of people who bring light to people when they watch TV.

As a black gay guy it is my duty to encourage every black gay child that is not accepted by acting. It would be a great honor if I got this opportunity.
